H.R.H. Princes Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud patronizes Graduation Ceremony of female students, year 2013

On Saturday evening, 17 Jumada-II 1434H corresponding to 27 April, 2013, Al Yamamah University celebrated the graduation ceremony of 2nd cohort of executive masters level students and 3rd cohort of bachelor degree level students in honor of Her Royal Highness Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud. At the graduation ceremony, fourteen master’s degrees and one hundred-eighteen bachelor’s degrees were conferred.

On this occasion, Mr. Khalid Bin Mohammad Al Khudair, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed his gratitude saying, “ The gracious presence of H.R.H Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud is a generous initiative and a sweet memory that shall remain always alive in the memory of the graduates forever”.

Since its inception, Al Yamamah University has attached its highest priority to creating an educational environment that effectively balances theory and practice through the application of modern and sophisticated teaching methods . It aims to offer world-class education for both male and female students, designed to meet the needs of today’s job market, taught by highly-capable faculty with extensive experience in their academic disciplines.

Al Khudair expressed his deep gratitude to the female students for their efforts and dedication in pursuit of their academic certificates and recognitions. He also expressed thanks and gratitude to their parents and guardians and the heads of their families for being concerned about the education of their wards. He noted with appreciation their many valuable suggestions offered during the course of their daughters’ long academic journey.

Professor Hussein Bin Mohammad Alfreihi, Chancellor of Al Yamamah University, expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to H.R.H. Princes Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud for her august presence in the graduation ceremony.

He stated that Al Yamamah University has always emphasized the use of innovative teaching methods and modern educational technologies as a means of developing student academic performance to its utmost and building their self-confidence. He related YU’s efforts to provide students with high-level training and experience across a range of in-demand disciplines in business and technology.

Professor Alfreihi added that YU is continually looking for opportunities to develop the academic potential of the nation’s talented young people through new colleges and specialized programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He stated that the university’s current offerings, including the MBA and bachelor’s degrees in both business administration and computing and information systems, are made available to male and female students alike and are designed to meet the needs of the local labor markets.

The university president expressed his happiness at the graduation of the latest student cohort and wished them all the best in their future undertakings and career development. Also, Dr. Salwa Bint Sulaiman, Dean of the Women’s College, expressed her deep happiness and gratitude to H.R.H. Maude Bint Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Saud for her gracious presence at the graduation ceremony which she believes will encourage the students towards further academic activities and achievements.

She stated that the University is striving hard to offer world-class education in line with international universities in the fields of business administration and information technology, taking into consideration the needs of Saudi job markets, including the required knowledge, experience and professionalism. “We have selected the best universities of America and Canada as our partners in the curriculum and program design. We benefit greatly from their shared knowledge and experience in designing specialized academic programs,” she stated.

She also stressed the university’s efforts to provide an ideal learning environment on campus, by providing easy access to academic and scientific materials and equipment for scholarly research. She stated, “We are committed to creating an environment that is conducive to learning, where all students can get what they need for their studies in order to achieve the skills and professionalism that will set them apart from others in the future.”

The female students expressed thanks and gratitude to the university leaders for continued support throughout their studies and for opening up to them new horizons of opportunity.

Minister for Social Affairs Presides Over Graduation

Al Yamamah University, in coordination with Social Welfare Fund under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Yusuf Bin Ahmad Al Othaimiin, Minister for Social Affairs and President of Social Welfare Fund, organized a Graduation Ceremony for 58 male and 366 female students completing their studies at the deanship of Continuing Education & Community Services Diploma Programs in various disciplines (Insurance, HRM, Banking Management) on Wednesday, 21 Jumada-II, 1434H corresponding to 1st May, 2013.

On this auspicious occasion, H.E. Professor Adel Bin Nasim, DG (Social Welfare Fund) commented that “ The Social Welfare Fund believes that progress depends upon human capital. Our modern approach to Human Resources Development encompasses a wide range of programs.

We encourage people to pursue training that leads to good opportunities in a variety of professional fields and seek to highlight the role of the individual in the process of national economic development. Our programs focus on the root-causes of social problems and are designed to create a suitable environment within which to craft workable solutions, even as we explore job opportunities for young graduates commensurate with their capability and strength”.

He stated that we are celebrating today’s graduation ceremony of the 3rd student cohort who completed their studies under sponsorship by the Social Welfare Fund in coordination with Al Yamamah University which is directly blessed and supported by the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince.

This cooperative arrangement provides a shining example of the range of initiatives administered under the auspices of the Social Security Fund and Welfare Organizations to provide all needed support for our young people, including those from families with special needs, orphans, the divorced and widows, as well as those from prisoners’ families and individuals participating in corrective programs as a result of prior drug abuse. He stated that the Social Welfare Fund’s programs depend upon the Almighty’s unlimited bounty as well as the unequivocal support of partners like Al Yamamah University who provide the students with professional training.

H.E. Dr. Hussein Bin Mohammad Alfreihi, President of Al Yamamah University, said that the University gives a high priority to staying informed about the Kingdom’s needs for both academic and professional training programs. “The university places a high priority upon staying informed about Saudi society’s needs for both academic and professional training programs. With this in mind, we exert our best efforts by conducting local market surveys and by constantly engaging with leaders from the academic and technical communities. We also call upon the expertise of our international partner institutions from Europe, America and elsewhere across the globe with the goal of providing more specialized high-level scientific and technical training programs for our young male and female Saudi learners.”

He pointed out that such programs provide young men and women with excellent opportunities to participate in national development. The president highlighted Al Yamamah University’s untiring efforts to produce graduates whose education and training equipped them with the skills required to enter the modern workforce as well as positive moral character traits.

Finally, he related the efforts undertaken by the university in its quest to achieve the highest standards of scientific education by recruiting well-qualified and highly-skilled staff.
