Discussion Forum-2017 “Marketing in Changing and Challenging Environment”

This forum aimed to promote an open discussion on Marketing in Changing & Connecting world, as businesses are in the throes of a transition, every business has to think of their digital strategy.” The forum covered areas like “Changing Marketing Dynamics – towards sustainable tomorrow. In particular, it was intended to encourage discussion of what could be contained within a new trends across Marketing Landscape. Students from other universities in Riyadh and all those with an active interest in Marketing, were invited to submit short contributions (of no more than 1,000 words).

The Forum opened with Quran Recitation, commencing with a welcome note and Overview of the day by Faculty representation Ms. ATIYA PARVEEN, who explained the scene for the day and the context of the program. The proposed format was a brief (10 minute) presentation with two or three brief responses (5 minutes).

Our guest of honor was Her Royal Highness Princess “Lamia Bint Majed Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud” secretary general & member of board of trustees at Al Waleed Philanthropies & “Mrs. Nada Abdul Rahman Al Zamel, Wife of Chairman and Board of Trustees, Al Yamamah University, and Ms.Shehana Al Khudair, daughter of Mr. Khalid Al Khudair.

Her Royal Highness Princess Lamia Bint Majed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud provided a motivational talk to the students and congratulated for their efforts in making the event a grand success!

Presentations for the session answered the fundamental marketing questions and audiences were given a chance to interact with each other.

It’s a so considered that the future is digital!

In the final session, the key messages from the day’s discussions, was summarized and further followed by Management Games, audiences were encouraged to play and Giveaways were provided.

Winners were announced and Closing Ceremony was done in presence of Her Royal Highness.

WORLD WATER DAY 2017

World water day is an annual event celebrated on 22 March. The day focuses attention on the importance of universal access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in developing countries. Under the theme ‘Water and Wastewater’, the year 2017 provides an important opportunity to consolidate and highlight the symbiosis between water and wastewater in the quest for sustainable development.

This year, Al Yamamah University (YU) joins the global community in celebrating World Water Day. Such

Initiation  by YU reflects their support for such events that offers high-quality, engaging activities delivered across multiple platform and as this will help assist students and educate YU younger generation to grow to full maturity as individuals and valued members of the society.

The main aim was to promote YU young generation to increase the understanding of water related issues; and be able to combat the future crisis as it will develop or enhance skills especially in the area of communication, collaboration and leadership.

 YU fraternity will get an opportunity to learn more about the theme of World Water Day and how wastewater is perceived as a valuable resource in the circular economy and its safe management as an efficient investment in the health of humans and ecosystem. YU fraternity will also get a chance to listen to the innovative ideas presented by the students and provide feedback. Activities presented by the students reflect the talents of our young generation and tremendous response by the YU fraternity adds cherry on the top.

Ecology students and organizer Ms.Meher Sultana Afshan (Faculty member) values the support they received from the Dean of the CCIS faculty and university management at all levels for encouraging and supporting such endeavors.

In conclusion, such event showcases the young talent and ability to think outside the box and understand that some of the best innovations of all time have been developed through exploring, learning, researching and experiencing.
