Students from the Network Engineering Department at Al Yamamah University achieved a remarkable national accomplishment by securing first place in the Defenseathon Hackathon, one of the leading national initiatives focused on defense technologies and innovative technical solutions, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education and several national entities.
This achievement reflects the students’ strong academic foundation and technical capabilities, as well as their ability to apply advanced knowledge in developing innovative solutions aligned with the needs of critical sectors, particularly in cybersecurity and network engineering.
The university was represented by students Faisal Al-Shalaan, Naif Al-Omran, and Mohammed Al-Asmari, who presented an innovative technical project that outperformed competing teams from various universities and institutions, earning them the top position in the competition.
