Bloomberg Terminal

The students can now access the Bloomberg Terminal, which has more than 325,000 leading business and financial subscribers worldwide. This is part of the partnership between the Misk Foundation and Bloomberg, which includes two key areas of collaboration – providing financial trading and technology at Saudi universities and supporting 250 Saudi corporations with training, tools and research.
The Bloomberg Terminal provides trusted real-time and historical data, market moving news and analytics to help business and financial professionals make better informed decisions. The Bloomberg Terminal also features execution functions for every asset class, research and a global network to communicate securely and reliably.

The University President, welcomed this partnership as a translation of the university’s endeavors to bridge the knowledge and skills gap that usually separates between academic institutions and the business world by enabling the students and faculty members with the most advanced and internationally reputable business solutions and tools.

The partnership between the Misk Foundation and Bloomberg LP provides financial training and technology at universities across Saudi Arabia. Bloomberg will equip the next generation of Saudi leaders with financial expertise by working with Saudi Arabian universities on a comprehensive financial training effort. This includes dedicated training for the universities, and support for faculty staff and professors to integrate capital markets content into their curricula. Bloomberg Terminals at each university and network is meant to establish a bridge between universities and the professional world.

The partnership will also support corporations with training, tools and resources. As Saudi markets expand and more state-owned enterprises are privatized, corporations will need professionals who understand and connect to global financial markets. The Bloomberg-Misk Foundation partnership will provide investor relations professionals, CFOs, treasury and finance departments at Saudi corporations with a suite of hands-on training and Bloomberg terminal access, as well as access to Bloomberg’s market specialists, economists and events.
