Ms. Kathryn Hardy

Student Counselor / Lecturer of Humanities Department

Kathryn Hardy is a lecturer in the Humanities department at Al Yamamah University where she teaches Psychology, Critical Thinking and Sociology as well as Legal Writing for the Law Department. She graduated from the University of Chester with a Bachelor’s of Psychology (Honours) in 2007, before beginning her career in English Language Teaching in South Korea. Since then she has completed Master’s degrees in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (2014) and English Language Teaching (2016). She has contributed to the writing of textbooks for a Global Peace Village, counselled students in Korean and English at middle school level, and run programmes in a variety of different countries including England and Thailand, managing large groups of teachers and students on excursions. As well as this she has served on committees to discuss best practices for motivating learners in a variety of contexts, and managed and trained teachers on a variety of subjects.

Kathryn believes in teaching through practical application, discussions, peer teaching and review and debating.
