The College of Law at the university organized the first moot court competition for its students. At the start, college dean, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Khalid Al-Hamoudi, welcomed the jury and the participants, and stressed that the college is keen to hold forums, workshops and host lawyers to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
There were three groups of participating students in the competition, each group had two teams: the first team represented the prosecution, and the second represented the defense lawyers. Each team presented its case documents, indictments, defense memorandums and responses to the cases. The jury was composed of lawyers Mr. Aseel Al-Hassan, Mr. Abdullah Al-Onizi and Mr. Thamer Al-Shuhail to offer support and note-worthy guidance for our future lawyers.
At the end of the competition, the jury announced the winning team, best lawyer in the competition and the best prosecutor. Dr. Al-Hamoudi then honored the participants in the competition and the members of the jury to show appreciation of their time and efforts in this initiative.
