The Marketing Club Organizes a Panel Discussion on Franchising

The Marketing Club at the university organized a panel discussion entitled, “Franchising; Reality and Ambition” in the main auditorium at Tuwaiq Building.

The aim of the discussion was to explain the concept of franchising, and highlight the importance of its impact on entrepreneurs with limited experience.

Mr. Yousif Alharbi, Vice-Chairman of the Franchise Committee, Riyadh Chamber gave an overview of franchise which covered its economic and legal importance in the development of business at a local and international levels. He also explained that the most prominent pillars of franchising are the targeted business model, well-planned marketing, and its essential role in building the trademark.

Mr. Abdullah Alkobraish, Member of the Board of Directors of Franway Investment Company talked about the business model for franchising and the factors that lead to its success.

At the end of the meeting, the speakers had an open discussion with the guests and shared their point of views in relation to franchising.

The panel discussion was attended Dr. Abdulaziz Alwathnani, Dean of the College of Business Administration, Dr. Yousif Alrashidi, Director General of Strategy and Business Development at the university and Mr. Mohammed Alharbi, Director of Communication and University Relations.
