Al Yamamah University – Khobar Organizes Speak And Inspire 2025 Competition with the Participation of Secondary Schools
Driven by its belief in the importance of developing dialogue and public speaking skills among younger generations — essential in preparing future leaders — Al Yamamah University – Khobar organized the Speak And Inspire 2025 competition on April 21 and 22, 2025, with the wide participation of male and female secondary school students from across the Eastern Province.
The competition welcomed students from more than 17 boys’ and girls’ schools. The debates addressed contemporary issues carefully selected to enhance students’ critical thinking and public speaking abilities. The debates were divided into four main topics over the two days of the competition.
The first day was dedicated to the boys’ competitions, which featured two main topics. In the first topic, E-Waste Management, Manarat Al Khobar Schools secured first place, while Al Salam Schools took second place. In the second topic, Traffic Congestion, Saudi International Schools for Science and Art won first place, and International Programs Schools achieved second place.
The second day focused on the girls’ competitions, also covering two main topics. In the first topic, Cybersecurity, International Programs Schools earned first place, while Dhahran National Schools took second place. In the second topic, Financial Education, Hadiqat Al Bayan Schools won first place, with Faisaliah Islamic Schools achieving second place.
The competition witnessed strong engagement from the audience and judging panel, with students delivering exceptional performances and demonstrating high rhetorical and persuasive skills. Their contributions reflected a deep awareness of the power of words and their role in shaping the future.
This success is a testament to the university’s ongoing efforts to support creativity and excellence, instill the values of constructive dialogue and impactful communication among young people, and enhance their personal, academic, and professional skills — all in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 to build an aware and empowered generation.
