The University Celebrates the Establishment of YU IEEE Virtually
Al Yamamah University celebrated the establishment of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (YU IEEE) chapter in the College of Engineering & Architecture (CEA), as part of the its aspiration to form academic partnerships with international professional centers and associations.
The virtual introductory session aimed to introduce students and faculty members of the YU IEEE chapter to the benefits of engaging in extracurricular activities, which guarantees to sharpen their practical and theoretical skills.
Dr. Mohammed Almuhaini, Associate Professor, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Head of the IEEE chapter in Saudi Arabia, opened the session then discussed the goals, tasks and plans of the IEEE organization.
Eng. Maryam Khorsheed Ahmed, Head of YU IEEE, briefed the attendees on the objectives of the branch and how to effective members in its upcoming activities and events.
At the end of session, Eng. Lina Abu Shmais, explained the membership benefits of joining the YU IEEE chapter, and shared her IEEE work experience with the attendees.
