President of Al Yamamah University winning students of the College of Engineering and Architecture
President of Al Yamamah University, Prof. Dr. Hussam bin Mohammed Ramadan honored students from the College of Engineering and Architecture who won the first three places in the PwC Empowerthon competition to create innovative artificial intelligence solutions in the sports sector. Students Basma Al-Hajji won first place, Layan Al-Shehri and Rawan Shamsan won the second place, and Maysaa Al-Baik won the third place. The team supervisor, Professor Sarah Al-Sabai from the College of Engineering and Architecture, was also honored. The ceremony was attended by Vice President of the University, Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Abanmi, and the Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture, Dr. Hessa Bint Abdullah Al Salama.
On this occasion, the President of the University explained that this acheivement is evidence of the excellence and diligence of Al Yamamah University’s students, and that this award calls for pride and more giving because of its positive impact on motivating university students to participate in local and international competitions. The President of the University also recommended maintaining the spirit of competition and innovation, and emphasized the interest and support of the university leadership for outstanding students.
