1 November 2025
The Department of Architecture at Al Yamamah University organized an educational field trip to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during which students explored prominent examples of historical and contemporary architecture in Amman, in addition to field visits to Petra and Jerash.
The visit contributed to introducing students to construction methods from different historical eras, enhancing their applied knowledge and linking modern architectural concepts with their historical roots. The trip also included participation in an architectural workshop delivered by a team from German Jordanian University, which focused on the concept of Adaptive Reuse of heritage buildings and highlighted the importance of preserving the cultural value of the built environment.
This field trip forms part of the University’s approach to supporting experiential learning and enriching the academic journey of architecture students through direct exposure to global architectural models and real-world practices.
