College of Business Administration Hosts Student Visit to Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority

On October 5, 2024, the College of Business Administration, represented by the Department of Accounting and Finance, organized a student visit to the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority. The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical knowledge and understanding of the authority’s role in managing zakat, taxes, customs, and trade facilitation, with a focus on customer experience and economic sustainability. During the visit, students explored various financial and accounting departments, engaging directly with service representatives. They were impressed by the authority’s advanced electronic systems and the efficiency of taxpayer transaction processing. The visit provided practical insights through real-world examples, statistics, and an opportunity for students to ask questions. It concluded with a tour of an exhibition showcasing the authority’s operations, further enriching the students’ learning experience.
