Academic Lecture at Al Yamamah University on Research Paper Preparation and Publication

On April 27, 2025, Dr. Arman Eshraghi, Chair of Finance and Investment at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Review of Economics and Finance, as well as Senior Editor at both the Global Finance Journal and Finance Research Letters, delivered a specialized lecture on the preparation and publication of research papers.

During the session, Dr. Eshraghi highlighted the most common reasons behind the rejection of research papers, particularly those that are desk-rejected without undergoing peer review, and explained the recurring mistakes researchers often make during the submission process.
He also provided valuable guidance on how to select novel research topics and innovative ideas that can enhance the chances of academic paper acceptance. Furthermore, he emphasized the critical importance of properly positioning a research paper from the outset to align with the expectations of leading academic journals and rigorous publication standards.
