Biography:
Sara Alansary is an accomplished architect and passionate educator with over 13 years of combined professional and academic experience. Her expertise lies at the intersection of sustainable architecture, project management, building science, and Construction industry.
Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University in 2010. Acquired a MSc. degree from the same institution in Sustainable Architecture and Building Science in 2016, thesis titled “Tracing and Documenting Sustainability Contributions throughout the Egyptian Architectural Heritage”, this thesis presented the background of Sustainable Architecture movement in Egypt by studying Egyptian architecture to address the emerging attempts towards Sustainable Architecture movement through architecture heritage.
Sara began her journey as a Teaching Assistant at Ain Shams University in Egypt then she acquired a Lecturer position within the same institution. Her passion for education extended beyond borders when she became a Visiting Lecturer at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. There, she engaged with students from diverse backgrounds, enriching their architectural perspectives.
Sara is PMP (Project Management Professional) certified, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in project management. Currently pursuing a Ph.D., Sara focuses her research on sustainable construction and project management, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sara thrives on cross-cultural exchange. Her work has transcended borders, allowing her to collaborate with architects, researchers, and students from diverse backgrounds.
Sara has worked in engineering consultancy firms, contributing to huge projects across Egypt, Gulf countries, and Europe. Her hands-on involvement in designing, planning, and executing large-scale developments has shaped her understanding of architectural challenges in different contexts.
Sara is deeply committed to mentorship and student development. Her impact extends beyond the classroom, as she guides aspiring architects toward their full potential. As a mentor, she encourages critical thinking, creativity, and ethical responsibility. Her students benefit not only from her technical expertise but also from her genuine care for their growth.
