Al Yamamah University Hosts the Largest Legal Debate Competition and Celebrates Its Students’ Second-Place Victory
Al Yamamah University witnessed a remarkable academic event, hosting the largest legal debate competition under the title Contradiction in Debate, which brought together eight of the top law clubs from universities in Riyadh to compete in the art of legal debate and persuasive argumentation. This competition is one of the most significant events that highlight students’ skills in debate and critical thinking, fostering an academic competitive spirit in discussing contemporary issues.
The Debate and Advocacy Club at Al Yamamah University achieved a notable accomplishment by securing second place in this competition. The students delivered an exceptional performance, showcasing their abilities in legal analysis and eloquent presentation. They excelled in interacting with legal issues and presenting strong and logical arguments, which made them stand out among the other strong participating teams.
The judging panel played a crucial role in this success, comprised of esteemed experts in law and academic communication. The panel included Mr. Mohammed Al Saif, Director General of Governance and Legal Affairs at the Saudi Cloud Computing Company; Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al Sdeis, Assistant Professor and Head of the Law Department at Al Yamamah University; Professor Hend Al Subeai, Constitutional Law Professor at Princess Nourah University, Board Member of the Saudi Systems Society, and a Legal Consultant and Researcher with various governmental entities; Ms. Abeer Al Duraibi, Faculty Member at Princess Nourah University with a Master’s in Criminal Justice and a Legislative Drafting Consultant; and Ms. Rahaf Al Eisa, a competitive debate coach with experience in several local and international competitions.
Al Yamamah University played a pivotal role in organizing and supporting this event by providing a comprehensive educational environment aimed at developing its students’ skills and encouraging their active participation in distinguished academic activities.
