Al Yamamah University is preparing to launch the “Al Yamamah University Forum 2025” under the theme: Educational Endowments and Achieving Vision 2030 Objectives in the Education Sector
Under the patronage of the General Authority for Awqaf, Al Yamamah University is preparing to launch the “Al Yamamah University Forum 2025” under the theme: “Educational Endowments and Achieving Vision 2030 Objectives in the Education Sector.” The event is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 17th, 2025, at 9:30 AM, in the Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khudair Hall (may he rest in peace) at the university’s Riyadh campus. This forum is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to promote the role of educational endowments as a key driver for sustainability and funding academic development, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which supports empowering the non-profit sector and diversifying income sources for higher education.
The forum aims to highlight the growing role of educational endowments in supporting innovation, scientific research, and enhancing the learning environment by discussing modern trends and effective governance models that enable universities to enhance their development and sustainability efforts. It will also address the importance of building strategic partnerships between endowment organizations and universities, as well as developing sustainable funding tools that keep pace with the transformations taking place in the education sector.
The program will feature a series of panel discussions and specialized contributions, with the participation of a distinguished group of experts, officials, and academic leaders from within the Kingdom and abroad. These participants will share successful local and international experiences in managing educational endowments and explore mechanisms for investing them to support academic programs and develop human capital—thereby improving the quality of education and enhancing the performance of university institutions. Additionally, the forum will discuss global best practices in endowment development and their future role in funding research and innovation, alongside key challenges and emerging trends in this vital sector.
The forum represents a pioneering national platform that brings together specialists, decision-makers, and stakeholders in the fields of endowments and higher education to explore the promising opportunities that endowments offer in shaping the future of education in the Kingdom. The event is expected to generate valuable insights and recommendations that will enhance the impact of educational endowments, reinforce their role in supporting institutional development in universities, and contribute to building a more sustainable educational model that aligns with the Kingdom’s aspirations for a competitive, knowledge-based economy.
