Al Yamamah University Hosts the Financial Investment Forum
23 November 2025
Al Yamamah University hosted the Financial Investment Forum, organized by the University’s Finance Club in collaboration with the Finance Club at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. The forum was held as part of a distinctive student-led initiative aimed at enhancing financial and investment literacy among students of both universities, while building effective bridges between academic learning and the practical demands of the financial sector.
The forum served as an interactive knowledge platform that brought together students and individuals interested in finance and investment with a select group of financial and banking institutions, investment and asset management companies, insurance firms, as well as advisory and educational entities specializing in financial competency development. This diversity enabled students to gain direct exposure to market practices, explore the latest trends in the financial sector, and identify potential career pathways within investment and financial services.
The forum aimed to enrich students’ financial awareness and introduce them to the fundamentals of investment and financial planning through an integrated experience that combined academic perspectives with practical, applied content. The event featured a series of informational booths and interactive workshops, allowing students to explore various investment tools, decision-making mechanisms, risk management concepts, and portfolio construction techniques—contributing to the refinement of their financial skills and strengthening their analytical thinking and informed decision-making abilities.
In addition, the forum provided direct opportunities for engagement with experts and specialists from a range of financial institutions. Participating entities delivered high-quality content that included professional consultations, insights into their roles within the financial market, and explanations of operational practices across banking, investment, and insurance sectors. They also offered introductory programs that helped students better understand labor market requirements and the skills needed to enter the field, opening new horizons for professional development and career building.
The Financial Investment Forum contributed to cultivating a generation that is more aware of the importance of sound financial management and responsible investment. It helped students recognize the factors influencing financial decisions and broaden their perspectives regarding their academic and professional futures. The forum also served as an effective platform for promoting a culture of financial empowerment and equipping students with practical skills that enhance their readiness for the job market with confidence and competence.
The organization of the Financial Investment Forum reflects Al Yamamah University’s commitment to developing students’ skills, aligning them with the needs and demands of the Saudi labor market, and fostering an applied educational environment that keeps pace with the rapid developments in the financial and investment sectors. The forum also supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in building a knowledge-based economy, empowering national talent, and increasing youth participation in high-impact, sustainable economic sectors.
