Associate Professor of Economics

BIOGRAPHY

Currently, I am working with Al Yamamah University as an associate professor of Economics and Business in the College of Business Administration – Postgraduate Studies. During the period 2020 – 2025, I worked with FALCOM Holding as a Director of Research and Investment Analysis, Riyadh – Saudi Arabia and Adjunct Professor of Economics at the College of Business - Arab Open University. Besides, I worked as a business development consultant for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and Economic & Business consultant to the GuidePoint International since 2015. I also worked as an Economic Consultant for the Saudi Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification. I worked also as an Internal Auditor for Albilad Company.

I worked at Al Yamamah University (YU) as an Associate Professor of Economics and Business during the period 2008 - 2020, where the medium of instruction is English. I was the former Director of Postgraduate Studies and the former Head of Quantitative Business Department (Finance, Insurance, and Accounting) at YU. I also served as a member of different university councils such as University Council, Postgraduate Studies and Research Council, and College of Business Administration Council at (YU). I am a founding member of the College of Business Administration and the founder of the Quantitative Business Department at YU.

In education and teaching field, I am the winner of the ‘Top 100 Leaders in Education Award’, GFEL, Dubai, 16-19 Dec. 2019. I also was the winner of ‘Distinguished Faculty Award’ 2017 at YU by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Al Saud.

During the period 01/01/2018 – 30/04/2019, I was the Faculty Chair for AACSB International Accreditation. I also worked at Alfaisal University as an adjunct professor of International Economics. I am a guest speaker to Saudi TV Channel 2 (KSA TV 2). Before joining Al Yamamah University in 2008, I taught at the University of Jordan and served as a financial and administrative auditor in the Jordan Audit Bureau for 16 years. I also worked in the Jordan Ministry of Education as a mathematics teacher.

In research area, I published several articles in internationally indexed journals. I participated in many national and international conferences and workshops. I was the Scientific Committee Chair of the International Conference of Business and Economic Studies. I received several Acknowledgment Letters from YU President for my contributions to Al Yamamah University management, research, and teaching. I also received the Certificate of Excellence in Reviewing from Asian Journal of Agricultural Extension, Economics, and Society in May 2021. I am also a reviewer for Sage Open

Journals.
