Biography

Dr. Sana Naseem is a competent academic economist. At Al Yamamah University, she currently works as an Assistant Professor of Economics and a Quality Coordinator for the College of Business (COB). She served as a chair and member on various college-based committees within the College of Business (COB) at YU, including chairing the National Commission for Academic Accreditation & Assessment (NCAAA) committee; member of accreditation committee (NCAAA & AACSB); member of assurance of learning committee, and member of appeal reconsideration committee, showcasing dedication to academic quality and institutional governance.

Prior to joining Al-Yamamah University, she was working as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Saudi Electronic University. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University in India.

Dr. Sana has over ten years of teaching experience in both India and Saudi Arabia, where she has taught both undergraduate and graduate students. Her dynamic research interests include economic growth, tourism, women’s empowerment, energy, and environment. She is an avid researcher and has contributed research papers in high quality peer reviewed journals and has authored one book. She is actively engaged in extracurricular activities at university and has received the following accolades:
