Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Sowailim

Abdulaziz Al-Sowailim has been the Chairman and CEO of EY Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the oldest professional services organization in MENA since 1 July 2010. He leads the EY MENA management team, where he has been a member for the past 12 years, and is actively involved in all aspects of the EY operations throughout the region. Abdulaziz is also a member of Board of Directors of EY’s Europe, Middle East, India and Africa area (EMEIA), which is the largest geographic area across EY Worldwide and the second highest area in terms of revenue and contribution to profitability. After graduating from King Saud University in 1987, Abdulaziz joined EY’s Riyadh office. Prior to becoming Chairman and CEO of EY MENA, Abdulaziz had accepted increasing responsibilities as Managing Partner of the AlKhobar and Riyadh offices before assuming the responsibilities of Country Managing Partner of the Saudi practice. The Saudi practice includes three major offices, Riyadh, Jeddah and Alkhobar and comprises over 1,000 professionals and 45 partners. Abdulaziz is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Saudi Organization of Certified Public Accountants and is also licensed to practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is also a previous board member of the Saudi Organization of Certified Public Accountants and Saudi Accounting Association. In addition, he is an Advisory Board member of King Abdulaziz University Business School, Advisory Board member of Prince Sultan University, Business School and a Board Member of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), as well as a MISK Initiative Board Member and MISK City Board Member.
