Dr. Kazem AlKhars

Assistant Professor of MIS

Biography:

Dr. Kazem Alkhars is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at the College of Business, Al Yamamah University. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Information Systems from Morgan State University, USA, in May 2025, with a dissertation titled Essays on Blockchain Technology. He also holds a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Robert Morris University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Western Oregon University.

Before joining Al Yamamah University, Dr. Kazem was a Research Fellow at the FinTech Center of Morgan State University, where he also taught several undergraduate courses. He is a strategic thinker and problem solver, passionate about leveraging digital technologies and digital transformation to drive innovation in business and finance. Prior to his doctoral studies, he gained extensive experience across banking, telecommunications, and utilities, contributing to IT management, quality assurance, technology strategy, IT project management, and data analytics projects.

Dr. Kazem’s research focuses on blockchain, fintech, IT strategy, IT project management, and data analytics, with an emphasis on how innovative technologies can drive transformation and create competitive advantages. His work aims to develop strategic solutions that enhance organizational performance and promote technological advancement in the digital economy.
