Dr. Khadija Mubaraka

Biography:
Dr. Khadija Mubarka is an Assistant Professor, Data Analyst, and Researcher specializing in the performance of German family firms, with a particular focus on foundation ownership and board diversity. She has cultivated expertise in corporate governance, strategic management, and family-owned businesses, particularly in the context of German enterprises.
In addition to her academic role, she has a solid background in data analytics, which enhances her research by providing insights through quantitative analysis of family firm performance metrics. Her research investigates how ownership structures and diversity within boards influence decision-making processes, strategic direction, and long-term sustainability.
She has presented her research in various academic and professional forums and has participated in teaching mobility programs, such as the ERASMUS+ Teaching Mobility Program at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, focusing on corporate governance.
With a passion for both teaching and research, she continues to contribute to the academic community through innovative studies, publications, and collaborations across the fields of family business management and corporate governance.

Since September 2024, Dr. Khadija Mubarka have been working as an Assistant Professor at Al Yamamah University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is teaching advanced undergraduate courses including

Previously, she has served as a Teaching Assistant for four years at the Institute of Family Businesses, WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany. During this time, she has contributed to various undergraduate programs, including:

Her key responsibilities were preparing lectures and course materials, organizing guest lectures and industry talks, and guiding students in their projects focused on developing social business ideas.
Additionally, in 2020, she had an experience of Teaching on āERASMUS + Teaching Mobility Programā at Copenhagen Business School, Center for Corporate Governance, Denmark.
In 2017, she had an experience of Teaching on āERASMUS + Teaching Mobility Programā at Jƶnkƶping International Business School, Sweden.
Services:
Starting in 2023, Dr. Khadija Mubarka worked as a Researcher and Data Analyst at the Institute of Family Business and Mittelstand, WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany, for approximately one and a half years.
She has also provided her services as an academic advisor for international students, doctoral representative in Germany scholarship committee, and member of exam selection committee at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar, Germany.
She has co-supervised bachelor theses with Prof. Dr. Kammerlander at WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management, Vallendar, Germany.
Additionally, she has served as an ad hoc reviewer for IFERA conference, G-forum, and Journal of International Small Business.
