Biography
Dr Shatha Shannag is an Assistant Professor in Commercial and Intellectual Property Law at the College of Law, Al Yamamah University. Dr Shatha worked for a number of years as a corporate lawyer in Jordan before finishing her PhD in law from the University of Leeds, UK. Her thesis was a comparative study that analysed trade mark protection against dilution in Jordan, USA, and EU. The ultimate objective of the research was to reform the Jordanian Trade Mark Law and enhance the practice and implementation of the doctrine of dilution in Jordan.
Dr Shatha has taught Intellectual Property Law at the Undergraduate level and supervised LLM Intellectual Property Law students for their dissertation at the School of Law, University of Leeds, UK.
Her research interest is related to Intellectual Property Law, Commercial Law, Labour Law, and Human Rights Law.
