Biography:

In his current role as Vice President for Graduate Studies, Scientific Research, and Executive Education at Al Yamamah University since November 2024, Professor Obaid Almotairy plays a critical part in shaping the strategic direction and academic excellence of the university. He chairs the Scientific Council and the Permanent Committee for Graduate Studies, where he oversees the development and implementation of innovative programs and research initiatives. His leadership in these capacities ensures that graduate education aligns with the latest advancements in the field while fostering a culture of inquiry and scholarly excellence. Professor Almotairy is dedicated to enhancing the research output of Al Yamamah University, promoting collaboration across disciplines, and preparing graduate students to meet the complex challenges of the modern workforce. His vision not only enriches the educational experience but also elevates the university's standing as a leader in advanced academic pursuits.

Professor Obaid Almotairy is a revered figure in the fields of accounting and business administration, recognized for his exceptional contributions to academic leadership and institutional development over a career spanning more than three decades. His journey began in the early 1990s when he dedicated himself to the pursuit of excellence in business education.

As the Founding Dean of the Sulaiman Al Rajhi School of Business from 2016 until 2024, Professor Almotairy played a pivotal role in shaping the institution's vision and strategic direction. Under his stewardship, the school emerged as a prominent entity in business education, characterized by innovative programs and rigorous academic standards. His service was marked by a relentless pursuit of quality, culminating in the establishment of a robust curriculum that prepared students to excel in the dynamic global business landscape.

Before this, from 2012 to 2016, he served as the sixth Dean of the College of Business and Economics at Qassim University. During his leadership, Professor Almotairy was instrumental in achieving the prestigious AACSB accreditation—a testament to his commitment to educational excellence and his ability to implement best practices in academia.

Beyond his administrative roles, Professor Almotairy is a staunch advocate for Graduate Studies, Research, and Executive Education.
