1. No Poverty: End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
Universities can contribute to the realization of SDG 1, “No Poverty,” in all its forms everywhere by taking several key actions. Firstly, they can expand access to education, to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to escape poverty. Scholarships and financial aid programs can make education more accessible. Additionally, universities can engage in research and innovation projects aimed at addressing poverty-related challenges, such as developing sustainable agricultural practices, affordable healthcare solutions, and social entrepreneurship programs. By fostering a culture of community engagement and social responsibility, universities can inspire students to become active agents of change, addressing poverty and inequality through volunteer work, internships, and community outreach initiatives. Through these efforts, universities can play a vital role in advancing the No Poverty Sustainable Development Goal and promoting a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
