YU Celebrates the 90th Saudi National Day
Al Yamamah University celebrated the 90th Saudi National Day in the main lobby on (date).
Prof. Dr. Hussam Ramadan, President of the University, Dr. Waleed Abanmi, Vice President, college deans, faculty members and staff all attended the university’s celebration.
On this occasion, the president congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH, the Crown Prince – may God protect them – praising their efforts in the development of the country and accomplishing impressive achievements in various fields.
The president stated that “the university aspires to diversify the activities to reflect the capabilities it enjoys and include all the different groups of society”.
He also launched an initiative entitled, “Health Heroes”. The initiative aims to honor and appreciate the hardworking employees in the medical sector against (COVID-19). A number of university students visited Al Yamamah Hospital, Riyadh, to honor the hospital’s medical staff in an initiative that comes within the university’s strategic priorities and plans.
On the same occasion, the President took a quick tour around the newly established Moot Court room at the College of Law. In quick address, Dr. Abdulaziz Alhamoudi, Dean of the College of Law, spoke about the objectives of its establishment and the aspired benefits for law students .
At the end of the day, the President inspected the expansion project of laboratories at the university, accompanied by Dr. Hessah Alsalamah, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture.
