YU Students won the Frist Place in Monsha’at Startups Camp Competition
Safi Al Safi and Zaid Riyadh Idris of the College of Business Administration and the College of Law, respectively, have advanced to the final event of the third Annual Monsha’at University Start-up Camp Competition. Their “Haitham” project won the first place in their Virtual Entrepreneurial Clubs Camp, which took place during the period from Oct 8, 2020 to Oct 16, 2020, where participants were given the opportunity to develop their projects into start-ups and offer them to investors. The first and second place winners of each camp were qualified to participate in the finale where they presented their projects to investors live, which took place on the 3rd of December 2020 where our students answered questions from investors live after pitching their “Haitham” project.
The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises organized this competition in partnership with the Ministry of Education, which enables university students in the Kingdom to turn their innovative ideas into start-ups through multiple stages of training, guidance and funding opportunities.
