Al-Yamamah University established the Law Department in 2014, stemming from its academic mission, and in light of the rapid legislative and judicial developments that the country is witnessing. Such developments are represented in the organization of the legislation through modernizing and completing the legislative structure to cover various financial, investment, and social activities.
In 2018, the Ministry of Education approved changing the name to (College of Law), which aims to prepare highly qualified national legal cadres to shoulder the responsibility for the advancement of rights and legal aspects in the country.
The study in the College of Law is distinguished by the presentation of the academic subject matter in an innovative, scientific, and cognitive form that takes into consideration the complementarity among academic qualification and theoretical training and teaching in English.
Student in the undergraduate program study in their first year various legal and non-legal subjects that are necessary to give them the necessary foundation for the study of law. Following that, they study the fundamentals of multiple legal disciplines such as Criminal Law, Commercial Law, and Procedural Law. They are also given the opportunity to choose from a variety of more specialized legal topics, such as medical, athletic, and insurance law, according to a study plan approved by consultants and academic experts in law.
