Despite its relatively short history, Al Yamamah University (YU) is recognized as one of the first pioneer private higher education institutions in Saudi Arabia and it has established its national reputation as one of a very few quality education providers. Its good academic reputation is built on its impactful research and transformative teaching experience.
YU is committed to the creation and dissemination of knowledge that serves the local community, advances the Saudi economy, and creates growth and opportunities. In the last few years, YU embarked on a number of initiatives to promote quality research and create a vibrant research culture, such as a SAR 2 million research fund to support quality internal research proposals and academic conference attendance as well as publication incentives and rewards.
YU faculty engage in real world problems that improve businesses, provide a better understanding of society, and enrich the learning experience of our students. Our faculty regularly conduct and produce research that pushes the boundaries of knowledge and improves business practices. Their work is presented at internationally recognized quality academic conferences, published in quality journals, and frequently cited by their peers in regarded referred publications. YU supports faculty research across the University through a dedicated department that is overseen by the Director of Research.
