Dr.Abdelhady has worked in both the US and Egypt as a senior architect in many architectural firms, where he contributed to projects that ranges from USA, Egypt, China, UAE, UK, KSA, and Canada. He works at the intersection of architecture and digital technology and his architecture insists on inventing new possibilities for content and everyday use; it is a concept of futurism through a persistent investigation of the symbiotic potentials amid nature and technology. Ibrahim won several national and international competitions. He was also one of three architects represented Egypt in the 9th Biennale of Architecture, held in Venice, 2004, and he was shortlisted in the international competition of The Grand Egyptian Museum, 2004.

Dr.Abdelhady also worked as curator and panelist at universities, institutions, exhibitions, magazines, and as a jury for design competitions and architecture awards. He has taught as a professor of digital design and fabrication at several universities in the Middle East. His students range from various levels of undergraduate students’ whom he teaches courses in computer applications and architectural design. His research is an inquiry into the impact of digital information on the architecture and construction industry.

In New York 2012 and upon receiving his second PhD in Architecture from Virginia Tech, Dr.Abdelhady founded Arch2o.com, one of the most visited architecture websites in the world. He began initially by just publishing the latest news and key developments within the field of architecture and design. As Arch2o expanded and gained more readership from all over the globe Ibrahim started covering live high-profile events, such as the Venice Architecture Biennale, Chicago Architecture Biennial, and Expo 2015 Milano.
