He has taught as a professor of digital design and fabrication at several universities in the Middle East. His students range from various levels of undergraduate students’ whom he teaches courses in computer applications and architectural design. His research is an inquiry into the impact of digital information on the architecture and construction industry.

In New York 2012 and upon receiving his second PhD in Architecture from Virginia Tech, Dr.Abdelhady founded Arch2o.com, one of the most visited architecture websites in the world. He began initially by just publishing the latest news and key developments within the field of architecture and design. As Arch2o expanded and gained more readership from all over the globe Ibrahim started covering live high-profile events, such as the Venice Architecture Biennale, Chicago Architecture Biennial, and Expo 2015 Milano.
