Sheikh Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Khudair Scholarship Program

  1. Scholarship applicants must have a high school diploma from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or any other authority accredited by the Saudi Ministry of Education. The diploma must be attested by the Saudi Ministry of Education or equivalent. All applicants must meet the conditions for scholarships at the university.
  2. Scholarship applicants must have completed the language preparation program and a minimum of 30 academic credit hours of their studies at Al Yamamah University with a GPA no less than 3.30 out of 4.00.
  3. Combining two scholarships simultaneously and/or transferring from one scholarship to another is not allowed, regardless of the cumulative average of the student. In addition, it is a mandate that the student must not have acquired any other scholarship from another educational institution in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  4. The scholarship applicants should not have been suspended from any other educational institution in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  5. The duration of the scholarship is as follows:
    • 4 years, which is equivalent to 8 major semesters for the programs of Business Administration, Law, Computer Engineering, and Management Information Systems.
    • 5 years, which equivalent to 10 major semesters for the programs of Architecture and Interior Architecture.
  6. The scholarships do not include summer semesters.
  7. The scholarships will be distributed over the majors that lack the required number of students in case specified by the Grant Committee.
  8. Applying for scholarships shall start at the beginning of the second semester of every academic year. The Grant Committee will convene at the end of the second semester to examine all applications and announce the names of those admitted. The names will be declared at least one month before the start of the academic year.
  9. Non-Saudi applicants must have a legal residency status in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  10. The applicant must have submitted an official application to apply for the scholarship upon the announcement of the start of application.
  11. All applicants must comply with the rules and regulations of Al Yamamah University as well as the behavioral and ethical dictates mandated by life on campus.
  12. The number of registered hours shall not be less than 15 credit hours in one semester, and these hours may include hours of practical training.
  13. Applicants must pledge to agree to the grade point average necessary for the scholarship to continue.
  14. The University reserves the right to withhold the scholarship and cancel it whenever the Grant Committee deems it appropriate.
  15. The university has the right to suspend the scholarship in the event the student ceased to attend their studies in any semester. Grant Committee may allow exceptions in this case.
  16. Scholarships do not include cooperative training courses.

Conditions to Acquire a Scholarship with a 40% Discount of Tuition Fees:

  1. Scholarship applicants must have completed a minimum of 30 academic credit hours.
  2. The student should not have previously failed any course while studying at the university.
  3. The applicant must have a GPA no less than 3.60 out of 4.00.
  4. The applicant must maintain a GPA of 3.60 or more throughout their study period at the university to guarantee the continuity of the 40% discount scholarship. In the event the GPA falls below 3.60, the applicant will be demoted to the 20% discount scholarship.
  5. Granting the scholarship is based on merit and the availability of seats.

Conditions to Acquire a Scholarship with a 20% Discount of Tuition Fees:

  1. Scholarship applicants must have completed a minimum of a full academic year or 30 academic credit hours.
  2. The student should not have previously failed any course while studying at the university.
  3. The applicant must have a GPA no less than 3.30 out of 4.00.
  4. The applicant must maintain a GPA of 3.30 or more throughout their study period at the university to guarantee the continuity of the 20% discount scholarship. In the event the GPA falls below 3.30, the scholarship will be cancelled. However, if the student managed to reach the minimum GPA rate required by the Grant Committee later, the student now is eligible to submit a new scholarship application.
  5. Granting the scholarship is based on merit and the availability of seats.
  1. The University reserves the right to withhold the grant and cancel it whenever the Grant Committee deems it appropriate.
  2. The university has the right to suspend the scholarship in the event the student ceased to attend their studies in any semester. Grant Committee may allow exceptions in this case.
  3. The Grant Committee will reconsider reinstating the scholarship for students who have failed to maintain their cumulative average for two consecutive academic semesters upon obtaining the required minimum cumulative average later. This is subject to the availability of scholarships. The student who has been suspended from the scholarship is required to pay the regular fees approved by the university until the grant is returned.
